Elliot Berke was named General Counsel to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts by the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees while he also continues his full‑time practice at Berke Farah. His role at the Kennedy Center highlights his reputation as “DC’s liaison to rock ‘n’ roll,” reflecting his unique intersection of political, legal, and entertainment expertise. He also serves as an ex officio board member of the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera.  He provides counsel for performance contracts, institutional governance, and entertainment events, leveraging decades of layered legal experience.  Over his career, he has provided counsel on five Library of Congress Gershwin Prizes for Popular Song, four Grammy MusiCares Persons of the Year, eight VetsAid concerts, four Above Ground concerts, and one Kennedy Center Honors and Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
